Employees seek an authentic relationship with managers that includes both a conversation about work and life. They want to work in a place that appreciates their strengths and invests in their continuous development.
Research shows that successful managers have fewer things in common than you might imagine. They have different styles of motivating, managing and building relationships. However, what they have in common is focusing on the strengths of subordinates, building engagement and focus on results.
When managers inspire employees and ensure their engagement, their work becomes easier and teams become more effective.
